Since October 2024 much greater protection has been in place overseen by the Payment Systems Regulator. Prior to this date, a CRM code covering 10 participating Payment Service Providers, was in operation since 2019. We are very interested in hearing from you if you have lost money to an APP fraud before October 2024.

We still want to hear and add your story to our campaign. Hundreds of millions of pounds have been lost by sending money innocently to bank accounts operated by fraudsters or mule accounts. The Banks who allowed those accounts to be opened and operated need to be answerable.

Banks have relied on a defence that the recipient account was opened correctly and that they had no way of knowing the account was to be used for fraudulent purposes. We believe that thousands of accounts were opened and allowed to be operated fraudulently with lax controls in place. Our campaign wants to add your one voice to many. Even if the FOS ruled unfavourably in your case, we still want to hear your story.

Whilst we appreciate and sympathise with losses suffered under this amount, smaller amounts may be harder to justify as being noticeable to the Bank responsible for account opening. Most fraudulent accounts and mule accounts will probably have been opened with little activity taking place until the app fraud takes place followed by a rapid dispersal of all funds. This will be harder for the Banks to explain away with large numbers of victims coming forward.

We charge a one-off campaign contribution depending on whether you are an individual or business.

For individuals a one-off campaign contribution of:

£45+VAT for losses £2.5-£5k
£75+VAT for losses £5-£10k
£95+VAT for losses >£10k

For businesses a one-off campaign contribution of:

£95+VAT for losses £2.5k-£5k
£125+VAT for losses £5k-£10k
£145+VAT for losses £10k-£25k
£195+VAT for losses £25k-£50k
£245+VAT for losses >£50k

No other money or success fee will ever be requested.

We will allow a full 30 days cooling off period before the campaign contribution is due. Cancellation can be made without any reason being given and no money will be requested by us.
